Graham Wren: Director of Operations
As Director of Operations for Team 5818 and Riviera Robotics, Graham Wren is responsible for directly managing all of our departments and operating as a go-between to ensure our team moves in a consistent and productive direction. While making time to handle the needs of our team, Graham currently works in the Software Department at Sonos where he writes code to expand and simplify their control APIs.
In addition to these positions he is presently studying advanced mathematics, computer science, and psychology at UCSB and SBCC with plans to major in both computer science and applied psychology. In his free time, Graham runs for the Dos Pueblos Track and Field team, works as a volunteer photographer and enjoys longboarding, sailing and motocross. Graham’s strong background in computer science as well as project management will be an invaluable resource and we are happy to have had him as a founding member of Team 5818.
Kally Zheng: CEO
Kally Zheng, CEO of Team 5818 and Riviera Robotics, is responsible for oversight and all operating departments, including software, system design, machining and public relations. Kally has extensive experience in the engineering fields. She participated in the UCSB Research Mentorship program studying the use of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation in human volition with the department of Brain and Psychological Sciences, she is currently studying computer science at UCSB, she was a member of the Dos Pueblos Engineering Academy for her first three years of high school and she was the winner of the National Center for Women in Technology Aspirations in Computing for Central California and the national runner-up. In her free time Kally was an attorney for the nationally recognized Dos Pueblos Mock Trial Team, she also enjoys running hiking and surfing when she gets the chance between her busy schedule of UCSB, Dos Pueblos and our robotics team. In the coming years Kally will be attending Stanford University, as she was recently accepted there, and hopes for a career in computer science.
Zachary Zerman: Software Team Leader
Zachary Zerman is currently a freshmen at SBCC studying to receive his electrical engineering degree. He is also a founder and active member of a local startup Smartstones. He acts as a 3D design and printing consultant for the company. Zack is also an avid member of the growing drone community. He has worked with various drones: programming, flying, and recording 4k content to be used for both entertainment and analytical purposes. When he isn’t programming, slacklining or hanging out with friends, Zack is out sailing along the beautiful Santa Barbara Coast. He plans to transfer to UCSB and participate in their nanotechnology program so that in the future he can apply his knowledge to the medical field.
Amy Dixion: Sponsor Relations Team Leader
Amy Dixon is a Senior at Dos Pueblos High School. Outside of school you can find her playing piano or dancing ballet. In her free time she is a freelance photographer. She enjoys longboarding, At her high school she is involved with the Dos Pueblos Engineering Academy, Yearbook and the Leadership class. She is the ASB (explain ABS and what you do) historian? She loves 21 pilots and going to music concerts. In the future she plans to pursue medicine and photography
